ChainSafe Gaming SDK Now Supporting Cronos Ecosystem

Extending the Gaming SDK's integrated chains to new horizons
This is a joint release with the Cronos ecosystem.
ChainSafe is excited to announce ChainSafe's Gaming SDK, web3.unity, as the first developer tool to join the newly established Cronos Play - a suite of gaming developer tools and services for the Cronos ecosystem. This adds to the list of the SDK's supported EVM-based chains, including Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Moonbeam, and Avalanche.
As blockchain and web3 gaming steadily attract attention with the introduction of new paradigms like NFTs, play-to-earn, and GameFi, developer tooling that can help gaming studios across the chasm becomes an increasingly sought-after point of leverage. ChainSafe's Gaming SDK, web3.unity, has long been an open-source library relied upon by both upstart devs and triple-A gaming studios for its ease of use and budding community.
As part of Cronos' strategy for tapping into the potential of web3 gaming, they are launching Cronos Play. Cronos Play aims to serve as a foundational infrastructure for the metaverse by providing a comprehensive suite of developer tools and services that will streamline the creation of gaming and GameFi applications for the Cronos ecosystem. **** ChainSafe's Gaming SDK is the first developer tool to be integrated with Cronos Play 🎉
By collaborating with the Cronos ecosystem, the Gaming SDK will continue to unlock a host of Unity gaming developers looking to integrate web3 cryptoeconomics. Developers will be able to access on-chain data in-game, fetch user wallet addresses, connect to the Cronos chain, query balances, send transactions, and transfer NFTs as part of the suite of out-of-the-box functionalities.
As part of this engagement and to support the adoption of ChainSafe's Gaming SDK by game creators, Cronos is releasing developer documentation, code samples, a demo application, and an NFT testnet faucet suitable for teams to develop and launch Unity games on the Cronos blockchain. The announcement of Cronos Play is the first step of a multi-year development for the ecosystem in their effort to enhance the quality of GameFi user experiences in web3.
